TSMP is not just a workplace, it's also a community that works hard, and plays even harder together. We believe that being a lawyer is a privilege; one that requires us to give back to society. Making a difference is our passion.

Talk is cheap. That's why we commit to donate a portion of our partnership profits every year to charitable causes we believe in. And also why we close the firm for 2 days each year to volunteer with charitable organisations we support. Our focus is in 3 key areas: children, the elderly and foreign workers in Singapore.

Twice a year, we swap our court gowns and power suits for Sharks-with-a-Heart (get it?) t-shirts, and throw ourselves into making it a special day for some extra-special people – be it a day of adventure with the Boys' Town boys at Outward Bound School, or an evening of karaoke with the elderly at the AWWA day activity centre. We go in wanting to make a difference, but come away feeling like it is we who have been blessed.

Our lawyers have also pledged a minimum of 25 hours a year to community service.

TSMP actively supports the Law Society's Community Legal Clinics, where we run free monthly legal clinics at community venues, and the HELP centre at the Singapore Subordinate Courts, where we provide free legal advice to litigants-in-person. Some of our senior lawyers are also volunteers under the Small Claims Tribunal Ad-Hoc Referee Scheme. Foreign workers are severely disadvantaged when it comes to dealing with their legal rights, and our pro bono work involves giving free legal advice and representation in worthy cases. To this end, we work with HOME (Humanitarian Organization for Migration Economics) and TWC2 (Transient Workers Count Too), charities dedicated to the migrant worker community in Singapore.
