In a news article published in the 23 August 2019 edition of the Straits Times about City Harvest Church forgiving a $26 million debt by former member Chew Eng Han and his firm, Adrian Tan said that the decision to take legal action to recover a debt is a commercial one.
He said: “Even if you have a good case, if the debtor does not have the means to repay the debt, then it may be pointless to go ahead with any more legal action.”
