Prof Tang Hang Wu’s evidence over Singapore trust accepted by US Court in Nigerian kleptocracy case

TSMP’s private wealth and trust advisory consultant Prof Tang Hang Wu was engaged by the United States Department of Justice to give expert evidence in Washington D.C. over a Singapore trust that dealt with the assets of late Nigerian dictator General Sani Abacha. After the hearing, his evidence was accepted by the United States District Court for the District of Columbia. The case involved US$2 billion looted by the former head of state, of which US$480 million has already been forfeited by the United States, the largest amount ever obtained through a kleptocracy action.
