Stefanie was featured on CNA (Revisitings: Charting Singapore’s Future segment), where she posed two questions to the panellists during the IPS 35th Anniversary Conference.
Titled Revisitings, the IPS 35th Anniversary Conference saw speakers re-examine some of the critical issues facing Singapore, to see how the Singapore model can be adapted to better address emerging challenges. The conference was covered in two parts.

Revisitings: Charting Singapore’s Future – Part 1
Stefanie posed a question to the panel in her capacity as Chairman of SHE, on how Singapore would ensure that the pluralism we adopt are the values of our people, in a situation where the internet is taking over the world. Stef’s segment was around 45 seconds long, and ran from 29:18 to 30:04.

Revisitings: Charting Singapore’s Future – Part 2
Stefanie also posed another question in Part 2, where she asked if Singapore might eventually need to decouple the twin concepts of ownership and occupation with regard to public housing, given that we are increasingly becoming an international hub. She also suggested increasing the focus of public housing on the housing aspect, as opposed to the wealth accumulation aspect. Stef’s segment was around one minute long and ran from 32:12 to 33:16.
