TSMP’s Handprint 2024 reaches out to Peacehaven Nursing Home
Caring for the elderly is one of the three pillars of TSMP's charity efforts. For Handprint 2024, we worked with The Salvation Army to organise a day of activities for the residents of Peacehaven Nursing Home.

On Friday 12 April 2024, TSMP closed our office and set off for Peacehaven Nursing Home in Changi for our annual Handprint charity event.
Our largest Handprint effort to date, this year’s event reached out to over 350 residents at Peacehaven. The Handprint committee put together a detailed programme to bring exercise, entertainment and scrumptious local fare to the residents. We were told that the residents were eagerly anticipating our visit, looking forward to a break in their usual routine. We hope we didn’t disappoint!
The day started with a briefing from Peacehaven’s medical director who shared how we could engage with the residents. TSMPers then trooped to the residents’ rooms to escort those who were mobile and those in wheelchairs down to the activity hall, where we started off with a Zumba session. This was followed by a live karaoke session, a round of bingo and other games (with prizes!), leading them to the highlight of the day – lunch!
In true TSMP style, four live stations were set up offering satay, roti prata, popiah and ice cream – all pre-approved by the Home for residents’ consumption. A colourful selection of delicious nonya kueh completed the sumptuous lunch. Residents who could not join us at the dining hall were served in their rooms a bento box of the lunch items, carefully packed and delivered by our staff.
To express their appreciation, Peacehaven presented TSMP with a collage of artworks, which took the residents over a month to complete. We were grateful that the rain kept the weather cool, that everything ran smoothly with no mishaps, and above all, for the opportunity to serve!
