TSMP Law Corporation Head of Employment and Labour Ian Lim was asked to comment in a The Straits Times story published on 11 May 2020 on the weak job market amid the pandemic.
He had clarified that firms may legally rescind job offers before the prospective employee has accepted. But after acceptance, depending on the contract terms, the applicant may have a right to claim notice pay.
