TSMP Law Corporation head of employment and labour Ian Lim was quoted in a 14 January 2021 TODAY article about safety lapses at the now-defunct Underwater World. He represents the company in a District Court case.
He asked for a lower fine of S$40,000 instead and said that “No one denies that it was a very tragic and freak accident”, but the charge did not directly relate to Chan’s death.
