The good, the bad and the ugly side of Initial Coin Offerings

The initial coin offering, or ICO, has been in the news lately for its reputation as a quick — and potentially legally murky — way to raise funds. Some regulators around the globe have been also quick in cracking down on the nascent ICO, with China and South Korea banning it completely. The Straits Times asked Stefanie Yuen Thio for her opinion on the matter.
