Joint Managing Partner Thio Shen Yi, SC was quoted on in a story published by the Business Times on 12 September 2019 on honestbee’s failure to pay its employees’ CPF contributions. He said that for companies that go into liquidation, up to five months’ worth of employees’ salaries or S$13,000, whichever is lower, will be paid in priority to all other unsecured debts, after the cost of liquidation.
