Stefanie Yuen Thio was interviewed by Tessa Oh in The Business Times.
The article covered telemedicine providers’ ads for weight-loss drugs (p. 1 and 2). Stefanie was quoted saying that these ads should, at the very least, encourage users to consult a medical professional to see if the treatment is appropriate for them.
She noted that the ads she has seen seem to be purely targeted at weight loss through the use of a lifestyle drug, rather than through medicinal treatment, which is to go down a very slippery slope.
