The principle is that someone should have a lawyer, so the only question is how long does the accused person have to wait. Right now, we think that the balance is a bit too much in favour of the investigating authorities, and we should roll it back a bit. We also recognise that sometimes the investigations need time, and they need the freedom to investigate, so it’s a balance.
