Nicholas Ngo was quoted in International Employment Lawyer by Chantelle Cloete.
The article spotlighted the case of an IT worker of Indian nationality in Singapore who, after his contract was not renewed due to poor performance, accessed his employer NCS’s system to delete their servers over a three-month period.
Nicholas commented that communications leading up to any termination of employment could help mitigate the risk of sabotage due to unhappiness or anger. He also suggested that employers could consider restricting access to work accounts, disabling remote access and changing passwords and login credentials for outgoing staff, after considering the employee’s abilities, influence and job scope.
