TSMP Law Corporation Joint Managing Partner Stefanie Yuen Thio has been recognised for her work in championing women’s rights, access and inclusion at the Chambers Asia-Pacific and Greater China Region Awards 2026 in Hong Kong.
Stefanie received the DEI Outstanding Contribution Award, emerging ahead of six other legal professionals from across the region.
Her recognition reflects a sustained body of work spanning law firm leadership, corporate governance, philanthropy and advocacy against online harms. A founding partner of TSMP, Stefanie has helped build the firm into an institution where gender parity is a lived commitment, with women making up half of its partnership.

Beyond the firm, Stefanie has played a key role in advancing gender diversity on corporate boards through BoardAgender, an initiative of the Singapore Council of Women’s Organisations. In 2025, she was also appointed Singapore’s Alternate Representative to the ASEAN Intergovernmental Commission on Human Rights.
In 2022, Stefanie founded SG Her Empowerment, or SHE, to tackle online harms and digital violence against women and girls. SHE’s research and advocacy have contributed to national conversations on online safety, including the Online Safety (Relief and Accountability) Bill, which paves the way for Singapore’s Online Safety Commission.
Stefanie’s work has also mobilised lawyers across TSMP’s corporate and disputes practices to support SHE through pro bono contributions, reflecting the firm’s belief in using the law as a force for public good.
