• there will be more long-serving board members retiring in the next two years and that such board renewal happening before the 2024 deadline sets an example for others

• good corporate governance is about more than complying with the letter of the law, and is also about embracing the values including board renewal and succession, as well as managing key man risk

• as international and institutional investors look at companies’ ESG performance, of which board diversity is an important pillar, companies with a strong and diverse board would attract these investors
