TSMP Law Corporation’s Head of Corporate Real Estate, Jennifer Chia, was asked by the Business Times for her views on two real-estate related enhancements of the Covid-19 (Temporary Measures) Act. In the story published on 14 May 2020, she said that the relief “protects people who had entered into an agreement to buy residential properties from developers but have found themselves unable to proceed due to hardship caused by the pandemic”, adding that”effectively it’s giving buyers six months to think about it.”
