TSMP Law Corporation has been ranked “Outstanding” in the Asialaw 2026 rankings, up from “Highly Recommended” in previous years. In another milestone, our Labour and Employment practice, led by Ian Lim, has also risen from “Highly Recommended” to “Outstanding”.

This recognition follows a year of significant work across our disputes and corporate practices. In one highlight, our team, led by Joint Managing Partner Thio Shen Yi SC,  acting for NextEra in enforcing an ICSID award against the Kingdom of Spain. Singapore’s Court of Appeal dismissed Spain’s appeal, holding that States cannot enforce such awards against others while claiming immunity themselves, as that would create “two irreconcilable regimes” (Kingdom of Spain v NextEra Energy Global Holdings BV [2026] SGCA 43).
