Jennifer Chia quoted in Bloomberg: “Singapore Property Firms Face Setback as Workers Stay Home”
TSMP Law Corporation head of corporate real estate Jennifer Chia was quoted in a 03 February 2021 Bloomberg article about the property firms affected by the continued WFH measures put in place due the pandemic. This piece was also syndicated by the Straits Times.
She commented that tenants are looking to downsize their hub spaces and are less willing to commit to longer-term leases.
She said: “While office Reits and developers will feel the pinch in the short term, the innovative ones are using this opportunity to pivot to the office hub of the future,”
“Industry players who are less able to reinvent themselves and those who do not have the resources to make the switch will be the biggest losers,” she added.
