Corporate and M&A

Thio Shen Yi SC has plenty of big-ticket case experience; he is noted for commercial and trusts litigation, along with contentious insolvency and restructuring matters. Adrian Tan has an impressive record in TMT, IP, data and collective sales disputes. Melvin Chan is recommended for construction cases, acting primarily for contractors. Ian Lim leads on employment and data protection disputes.
Labour and employment
TSMP Law Corporation provides ‘prompt, friendly, expert and practical guidance on Singapore employment law’ and has a strong track record in non-contentious employment advisory work, as well as advocacy in employment claims tribunals and High Court disputes. Practice head Ian Lim is singled out for his ‘legal acumen and remarkably sound advice’, particularly in relation to the employment aspects of international transactions. Also of note is senior associate Nicholas Ngo, who is highlighted for his ‘impressive legal knowledge and understanding’.
Restructuring and insolvency
The practice has bolstered its litigation and transactional bench strength with the recruitment of Adrian Tan and Pei Ching Ong from Morgan Lewis Stamford LLC in 2018 and Felicia Tan from Incisive Law LLC in February 2019. Shen Yi Thio, SC and Stefanie Yuen Thio are the key partners.
