Stefanie was quoted by Saw Yone Yone in his op-ed for Her World. In the article, he discussed how some Singaporean men feel that they have gone so far in promoting women’s equality that they are now discriminating against men, as well as possible avenues for reconciliation.

The article included Stefanie’s comments from a forum on inclusive workplaces in 2023, in her capacity as founder of SG Her Empowerment. Stefanie was quoted saying that there is nothing worse you can do for women’s empowerment than putting a quota, and that “there are people who will look at me on the board – and I serve on a board – and they will look at me and say she’s just there because she has two X chromosomes”.
